About Missy

Allow me to introduce myself.  My name is Missy Bell and I have been a writer since I was 15.   I have been on a self-improvement journey for most of my adult life.  My main purpose in life is to help others with what I have learned by sharing it through my writing.  If any of my pieces have helped you, I’d like to hear from you.

You can expect many things from this blog, ways to reduce your stress, increase your happiness, tips on relationships of all kinds, how to get by on a daily basis in this crazy world, information on interesting places that I have been to or would like to visit, poetry I’ve written, my personal inspirational writings, and many more.  Each post is designed to make you think, to move you closer to who you want to be in this life.

This is not my only blog site.  You can also see my writing style at http://www.WhereTheGhostsLive.WordPress.com.  I have witnessed paranormal activity since the age of 14 and I have always been fascinated by the subject.  At the site above you will find histories of haunted locations and videos of evidence captured by professional investigators, Information on different investigative techniques, my personal experiences while touring haunted locations and YES, that DOES look like a GHOST in the mirror of that photo I took.  So don’t forget to follow that blog as well.

I would love it if you would head on over and like either of my Facebook pages, Words That Touch Your Heart or Where The Ghosts Live – The Haunted United States.  You can do so by visiting either blog and checking out the sidebar.

I recently published my first book, “Heart Versus Mind: Words That Touch Your Heart,” a book of original poetry that was written over my lifetime.  It can be found at: http://www.amazon.com/Heart-Versus-Mind-Words-Touch/dp/1105766055/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1373396017&sr=8-1&keywords=heart+versus+mind%3A+words.

I am also own a mobile DJ service in my area and making others smile as they enjoy moving to their favorite music has also been a life-long passion.

I am so grateful that you stopped by.  Please visit and share often to pass what has helped you on to others.

My best wishes for a happy, fulfilled life.

  1. Hi Missy, I wanted to leave a comment on your post today about helping. Is this the right place to leave it? I saw no other place close to the post. I’m pretty good at calling my boundries but I know most people have such trouble with it. I’ve learned from the past that if I help too much or people take advantage, I become resentful. And one sure way to avoid that is to stop giving before that happens.

    1. That is so true. Being one who gave, gave, gave myself and never got anything in return, (No that that was the reason I did it,) I had to stop for my own sake. I was giving so much of my time to other people that there was no time left for me. I too have felt that resentment. My current battle is letting go and letting my oldest son find himself. He is so quick to think I have all the answers to his problems, which thankfully, aren’t big but he really needs to be able to handle these issues in his own mind. I have to let this go and let him go so he can live his life. It’s the best thing for him. I really need to stop enabling him.

Thank you so much for your response. I really appreciate it.

      Missy Bell
